If you’ve never visited the north coast of Sydney, it’s about time you did. Often neglected due to limited public transport links, it has some of the most beautiful coastline in Australia.
After leaving the city, you will head straight to the Hawkesbury River for a tea stop on the banks at Church Point. As we drive along the picturesque banks, we will soon end up at the northern headland of Palm Beach. From here you will have the opportunity to walk to the top, reaching the heritage-listed Barrenjoey Lighthouse (1881) for incredible views looking back towards Sydney in the south and the central coast in the north.
It’s then a leisurely drive south along the coast back towards the city, visiting some of Sydney’s prettiest beaches until we stop again at North Head, at the entrance to Sydney harbour from the ocean. Another spectacular viewpoint of the harbour then returning back to Sydney city.
