Lindemans is an Australian winery, owned by Foster’s Group. It was founded in 1843 by Henry Lindeman who planted its first vines in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. This original vineyard no longer exists, and the winery now has vineyards in South Australia (Barossa Valley and Coonawarra), in Padthaway and at Karadoc. It is considered a mass-producer of reasonably priced, good quality wine.
In 1993, its Bin 65 chardonnay was Australia’s top-selling white-wine export. Five consecutive vintages have been named “best buys” by The Wine Spectator, a consumer magazine, and Robert M. Parker, Jr. has called it “one of the three or four finest chardonnay values in the world” in his newsletter The Wine Advocate.
Produce: 2005 Hunter Valley Semillon, 2000 Hunter Valley Semillon, 2005 Hunter Valley Chardonay, 1999 Sparkling Shiraz and 1999 Hunter Valley “Steven” Shiraz
Little’s controls a total area of 15 hectares in Pokolbin with the principal grape varieties grown being Semillon, Chardonnay, Marsanne, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.
Their Reserve range is sourced entirety from their own vineyard and the Kindred’s Daisy Hill vineyard which are situated between Palmers Lane and Deasys Road. Both vineyards are planted on north to north-west facing slopes which provide an ideal combination of sunlight exposure and air circulation.
The soils of the Lochleven and Daisy Hill vineyards are made up of rich red to dark brown clay/loam. The structure is broken up by weathered ironstone which help keep these heavier Pokolbin soils more friable and improves their drainage. Although this soil type is often very fertile, it doesn’t support excessive vigour even in strong varieties such as Semillon and Shiraz. Hence their yields are typically between 3 to 6 tonnes per hectare, allowing the vines to produce intense fruit flavours essential to wine quality.
Produce: Chardonnay, Semillon, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Shiraz-Cabernet blends, Dessert Semillon, Tawny Port, Sparkling Cuvee

Oakvale Wines, one of the oldest working wineries in the Hunter Valley, lies nestled at the base of Mount Brokenback on the southern end of the Brokenback Ranges.
in 1893, a Scottish coal miner called William Elliott, worked hard with his family to convert the land from a dairy and general farm to a vineyard, producing wines labeled under the name, ‘Oakvale’.
Oakvale Wines has continued in the family owned tradition ever since with the Owens family purchasing Oakvale in 1999. Guided by Richard Owens, Oakvale saw major re-developments in the ensuing years. Included were upgrades in the winery & cellar door, inclusion of a children’s play ground & coffee shop; converted the original 1893 Old Slab Cottage into a ‘Old Shop Museum’ and renovated the 1920′s Homestead with five bedrooms into a luxurious accommodation with modern amenities on the Oakvale Estate.
Oakvale Wines is proud to craft 100% Hunter Valley wines, picked from the Owens family owned Milbrovale Vineyard at Broke. The 40 hectare vineyard has been producing fine quality fruit from the carefully cultivated Shiraz, Verdelho, Chardonnay and Semillon vines. Oakvale Wines has become synonymous with producing some of the finest wines in the Hunter Valley.
A tranquil and welcoming place, Oakvale is a lovingly preserved piece of pioneering history brought into the 21st Century. The union of fine wines and natural beauty will ensure that Oakvale will remain unique long into the future.

Petersons Champagne House
Once upon a time there was a winemaker named Ian Peterson who lived in the Hunter Valley. To celebrate the birth of each of his Grandsons he would create and name a Port in their honour. For the birth of his first Granddaughter, however, he thought it would be more fitting to create a Champagne. He found there was no producer nearby and had to send his base wine interstate to be made into Champagne.
With his Champagne being such a success and there being no producers in NSW he felt there was an opportunity here.
After purchasing the land at the Corner of Broke Road and Wine Country Drive, Ian enlisted the help of friends and family in creating Petersons Champagne House brick by brick.
Now known as Peterson House, we are the only producer of sparkling wines in the Hunter Valley. We are also the only producers using Methode Champenoise on the East Coast of Australia.
Produce: Sparkling Whites, Sparkling Reds, Still Whites, Still Reds & Dessert Wines
